Summary

Adds complete species data for Zamioculcas zamiifolia (ZZ Plant), a widely popular houseplant not yet present in the dataset.

Species Added

  • File: data/species/zamioculcas_zamiifolia.json
  • Common name: ZZ Plant
  • Scientific name: Zamioculcas zamiifolia

Data Included

  • Full care guide: light, water, soil, humidity, temperature range, fertilizer, toxicity
  • 8 common issues with diagnosis and fixes
  • 8 actionable care tips including propagation methods
  • 10 descriptive tags
  • Schema matches existing full-detail species files (e.g. monstera_adansonii.json)

Why ZZ Plant?

One of the most commonly kept houseplants globally — drought-tolerant, low-light adaptable, and beginner-friendly. Notable for its thick water-storing rhizomes and air-purifying properties. The dataset had no entry for this species despite having many similar aroids.
